Take 5 minutes!


I’m tired.

Wait, let me rephrase that…


My body literally feels like it was run over by a heard of gazelles, my brain is locked on the frick’in term I coined (auto-commit) and I cannot stop eating – Nom Nom Nom!

This can only mean one thing: Peak training.

The last two weeks have been tough. I’ve reached that point where I’m fed up! After four months of committed training; consistently pushing myself and my limits, all I want to do is run the damn race. I’m tired of the 5:30am cross training workouts, spending my Sunday afternoons spooning my foam roller and trying to force swollen feet into appropriate footwear for the office. I’ve seen more blisters than I can count, had some interesting fuel experiments (resulting in frequent visits to the bathroom) and with the warmer weather rolling in, I’ve been re-introduced to Mademoiselle Chaffing!!!


Alright, that was my 30 second personal-pitty-party/ rant! Sometimes we need to express our frustration, but here’s a little tip my grandma taught me that I want to share. It’s called “Take 5 minutes”.

    I was curious if you ever thought of changing the page
    layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
    But maybe you could a little more in the way of content
    so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.

    Maybe you could space it out better?

      Hey! Thank you for taking the time to read through my blog and for posting a comment! I sometimes get caught up with a thought which leads to lengthy posts, so I should consider shortening my posts in order to have that “impact” and/or pair it with more photos.
